Hotel Exterior
The Fletcher Trust Building, the first skyscraper in Indianapolis in 1915 is a shorter building according to today's standards. The architectural team of Arthur Bohn and Kurt Vonnegut, Sr. faced the building in Bedford Limestone except for the first three floors which are faced in Crotch Island Granite. The building also served as the Indianapolis Bank One Tower until 1992. The building was renovated and restored in 2002 and the Hilton Garden Inn Indianapolis Downtown opened its doors December 2003.
Lobby
Upon arrival you will get a sense of the building's historic grandeur. Originally built as the Fletcher Trust Building in 1915, the lobby features many historic treasures. From the ornate ironwork and brass railings to the marble staircases, our comfortable and spacious lobby will give you a feel of what downtown Indianapolis used to be.

Our rooms with 2 double beds feature beautifully designed decor that gives you a feeling of luxury. The 12-foot ceilings enhance the feel of our spacious rooms. While designed to accentuate the nature of our historic building, the room includes all the modern conveniences: complimentary high-speed internet, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, iron and ironing board, and expanded cable lineup with HBO.

Each spacious one bedroom suite features a living area with a full size sofa sleeper, sitting area and oversized work desk.
Guest Room Bathroom
Spacious bathrooms with granite counters and shower walls. Fog resistant mirrors save time wiping them clean and curved shower rods provide more light in the shower. Restrooms in our one bedroom suites have a separate toilet area.

The James Whitcomb Riley meeting room is located on the second floor of the hotel and is approximately 1143 square feet with a ceiling height of 12 feet. The room features two walls of floor-to-ceiling windows and can seat up to 94 guests for a wedding ceremony leaving plenty of room for an aisle and arch/chuppah.
Benjamin Harrison Room
The Benjamin Harrison Ballroom features 1701 usable square feet of meeting space bordered by two walls of floor-to-ceiling windows looking out to Market and Pennsylvania Streets. The room features three complimentary automatic screens and two beautiful marble pillars which were in the lobby of the building when it was the American Fletcher Bank.
James Whitcomb Riley Room
The James Whitcomb Riley meeting room is located on the second floor of the hotel and is approximately 1143 square feet with a ceiling height of 12 feet. The room two walls of floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Market and Pennsylvania Streets. Featuring two automatic projection screens and Wi-Fi, the room can also be separated by airwalls to create three smaller breakouts.
Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. Room
The Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. room is located on the second floor of the hotel. It is approximately 637 square feet and features one wall of floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Pennsylvania Street. The room features one complimentary automatic screen.
